Description
Mormoreto comes from the vineyard of the same name located in the Castello di Nipozzano Estate. It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot grapes harvested by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. The grapes ferment in steel and then each variety is vinified and macerated separately always in steel vats with permanence on the skins for 20 days. Aging takes place in barriques for 24 months followed by a period of 6 months in bottle. It goes well with second courses of meat such as braised meats, stews and even aged cheeses. It has an intense ruby red color, the nose is complex with hints of red fruits such as blackberries and raspberries. The taste is round, velvety and soft with a great persistence.
