Champagne Extra Brut Equilibre Legret & Fils

A Champagne for lovers of the brand but also for newcomers. Of biodynamic production for a purer expression of nature. It’s an Extra Brut for a pleasantness celebrating the minerality of the typical and unique terroir that distinguishes it. The Legret family has for 5 generations been producing Champagne in the Marne, that is to the north west of the appellation most famous throughout the world for bubbly. The vines are on average about 40 years old. Alain Legret, currently managing the production, applies biodynamics in the vineyard and uses no artificial products nor any animal product in order to secure the Vegan Wine certification. The grapes used are the classic three dedicated to Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The base wine is fermented in stainless steel and then bottled for a second fermentation in the bottle. It is kept on the yeast for 66 months in all, in such a way that the bubbles are silky and non-aggressive. The wine is smooth and complex and generally very pleasant. After the disgorgement, in order to eliminate the yeasts, the sugar dosage is not done with the addition of liqueur, but with the same wine from different bottles, obviously to fill the bottle and guarantee purity of taste and authenticity of the product. A Champagne therefore that is Extra Brut with an elegance worthy of the appellation it carries.
